Cancellations may be requested at any time. Your reservation may be moved to a later date at no additional charge (pending availability) Cancellations eligible for a refund must be requested via email no less than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival. If a refund is approved it will be made minus processing fees (typically 3.5% of the total reservation) These fees are charged to us even if we refund your money.
The reason we must enforce this policy is because rental space is a perishable commodity. If a customer reserves a site then cancels at the last minute the site goes unfilled and the commodity expires. the revenue is unrecoverable. we cannot go back in time and re-book that site to someone else. We are a very small park and have a short season to sell our product. It is for this reason we highly encourage you to be sure of the dates you need before booking a stay with us. Many Hotels and Motels have a no refund period and this is no different. The 14 days is to allow us reasonable time to find another guest to fill the spot.
Our park is very clearly described on our website with photos of each site, a map of where each site sits and what each site has to offer. This campground is NOT on the water, but does have access to the water across the road. Refunds will not be given because “The facility is not what we expected” You can expect what you see on the website, nothing more. I have had too many guests show up here expecting pavement and concrete, waterfront sites, bathroom facilities and activities. This is not that kind of RV park, you find those within city limits. This park is for people looking for nature and quiet. Because we open early in the spring to give campers the option of having a place to go you must keep in mind that springtime in North Idaho means the ground is soft and there can be muddy areas. your site may experience subsidence from recent ground disturbances. your leveling jacks may need pads placed to prevent settling. pre-season stays are not the same as normal peak season which is why the rate is discounted.
Hopefully this explains why we operate the way we do and appreciate your understanding.
